Will the obituary be submitted to a local newspaper?

We do not submit obituaries to any other services; it will only be live on the website you create.

An exception to this is if we are partnered with a newspaper (such as the San Francisco Chronicle). If you intentionally place an obituary with one of our newspaper partners, you will need to fill out a specific form on your memorial website to submit the obituary. Please note, these obituaries typically have a length limit, so you'll want to be aware of this when filling out the form.
