Choose a Fundraiser: Personal or Charity

You'll want to decide which fundraiser you'd like to start before you select one. Please keep in mind that once a fundraiser has been chosen and a campaign has started, you'll be unable to change the fundraiser.

Personal Fundraiser & Memorial Funds

A personal fundraiser is usually started whenever a family wants to accept any donations raised with their own bank account or payment method. A personal fundraiser is the preferred method of payout in any case where you'd like to control where money is headed. This is a good option if, for example, you'd like 50% of the donations to go towards a charity and the other 50% to go towards funeral expenses.

Who receives the money?
The money is deposited directly into whatever bank account or debit card you choose to attach.

How do they receive the money?
Funds raised are automatically deposited directly into the chosen payment method.

How long is the fundraiser active for?
Personal fundraisers are active indefinitely. You can choose to end an active fundraiser by going into Edit mode.

How long does it take to receive the money?
Money raised for a personal fundraiser takes 7 business days for the first donation to process. Every donation made after that can take up to two business days to process, but is usually processed relatively quickly. If you notice that you haven't received any funds and it's been over 7 business days, Stripe might require additional verification information. Keep an eye out for any emails that come directly from Stripe.

Charity Fundraiser

You can choose to raise money for any non-profit or charitable organization, even if they are not signed up on our website. We do recommend that you visit the charity's website before linking them to your Ever Loved campaign to make sure that they have a way to accept donations online.

Who receives the money?
The charity receives any funds that are raised on the platform.

How do they receive the money?
If a charity is signed up on our platform, any donations made to a fundraiser that has chosen that charity will be automatically deposited directly into the charity's preferred method of payment on a weekly basis.

If a charity is not signed up on our platform, we send them a check at the end of every month through our partnership with CharityVest.

How long is the fundraiser active for?
Fundraisers for charities run indefinitely.

How long does it take to receive the money?
For charities that are signed up on the platform, any funds raised are automatically deposited weekly into the charity's payout account after a 7 day processing period.
